The Yuridia concert was an amazing experience! The band was talented and the sound was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a better set of people to play with. I can't wait to play this show again and again!
on a clear and bright day, a few hundred students and staff of El Paso's nearby university of texas took a seat in the sold out and up-selling section of the kino larights concert venue. The concert was to begin shortly after the door was opened and quickly seats were taken, with many fans restless as their favorite songs were played. With no time given for the protesting fans to take a break, the band began its set with a spirit and vitality that took the audience on a surprise performance. Rising tensions between mexico and the united states had been building for years, and finally a rided the two countries with a powerful show at the El Paso concert venue. The large crowd was not the only one to enjoy the show; the band's supporting act-A multi-instrumentalist collective known as Yuridia-Populated the stage with their fans, taking their place at the forefront of american music. Yuridia is a collective of 10-15 young women who come together to share their voices and ideas in order to be heard. The concert was a chance for each fan to share an idea, a goal or a moment that they considered important in their lives. Each fan had their own song and set of songs that they wished to see the band play. It was the perfect opportunity for the collective to share their opinion and ideas with the band, and the band took advantage of the opportunity. The show ended with a generous donation from the audience, with each fan receiving a t-shirt and a bit of music. It was a great opportunity for the university to reach a large audience and the band's fans were grateful.
the Yuridia concert is a concert series featuring mexican classical and rock music by mexican composer and singer Yuridia. The concert series started in 2006 and is organized by the mexican chamber orchestra El Paso.
